8. Antonia Campi

In the hall there is a collection of pieces of the artist’s, belonging both to art and design. A. Campi will continue the work of Andlovitz to SCI, before committing into the design of "fantastic items", and later into the design of sanitary and bathroom tiles. The exhibition space reveals his experience at the S. C. I. (Italian Society of Ceramics) and more. In particular concerning artistic production, it is noticeable the presence of a ceramic fruit bowl made in 1949 for an international exhibition. It is also interesting the "play of representing the natural environment", the mimesis of nature, in which the object stops being same as itself and becomes something else, taking the zoomorphic appearance of the cock and the hen, becoming a mushroom, or even mimicking the undulated shape of a shell.
